Youth football team dominates Palmetto Bay council meeting ...
The Palmetto Bay Broncos youth football team was nowhere to be found on the agenda for a Village Council meeting Monday night. But the Broncos, in a standoff with the village over the demolition of a storage and concession building at Coral Reef Park, made it on several agenda items anyway -- a reflection of how the controversy continues to brew in Palmetto Bay.

Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville to meet with team; he's out as coach as...
It is unclear if Tuberville was fired or resigned but he is no longer Auburn's coach. He called assistant coaches in from the road. A team meeting is set for 6 p.m. Earlier today, sources confirmed Texas Tech coach Mike Leach's interest in the job if Tuberville was no longer coach at AU.

Youth Saline and Milan athletes came to a head in the pool Nov. 14 when the two youth swim teams met for a meet. The larger Stingray team took home the win with 593 points to Milan's 290.

Third-grade students at Little Mountain Elementary will be taking an all-day field trip to Ney County Park Friday, Oct. 3 for a team-building day. Students will participate in activities designed to build community as they interact with students from all LME third-grade classes.
