Report: Laviolette out as Hurricanes coach ...
A person familiar with the decision says Peter Laviolette is out as coach of the Carolina Hurricanes. The team scheduled a news conference Wednesday to announce a coaching change, and the person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press that the announcement was Laviolette's dismissal. The person requested anonymity because the official announcement had not yet been made.

Carolina Hurricanes fans on Wednesday tried to digest news that head coach Peter Laviolette had been fired less than three years after winning the Stanley Cup and that former head coach Paul Maurice would be back behind the Canes bench.

Stepping down. Warrior football coach, Josh Kerr, stepped down from his position Monday. Warrior head football coach Josh Kerr announced his resignation Tuesday. The resignation is effective the end of the first semester of school from both teaching and coaching.

The Carolina Hurricanes have decided to make a coaching change and will reportedly replace Peter Laviolette with his predecessor, Paul Maurice.
